A documentation of the systematic process which led to the holocaust
Here are three areas of interest…a permanent exhibition opened in this Wannsee mansion as “The memorial and educational site house of the Wannsee conference” on the 50th anniversary of the Wannsee conference. It was in this Villa that a group of high-ranking Nazi officials headed by Reinhard Heydrich, head of Reich security met on January 20, 1942 to organise and implement the final solution to the Jewish question.
The 2nd exhibition, the memorial exhibition includes a reconstruction of the room where the discussions took place the minutes of the conference taken by Adolf Eichmann and the photographs of the civil servants and SS officers involved…the Wannsee conference memorial exhibit is a documentation of the systematic process which led to the holocaust.
The rest of the exhibition is a chronicle of the events and the holocaust from the deportations to the exterminations in the concentration camps.
Please take the S-Bahn city train S1 or S7 to S-Bahn station Wannsee, then Bus number 114 (direction “Heckeshorn”) wait till bus stop “Haus der Wannsee-Konferenz” comes up.
