Exploring Berlin – an interactive journey through Berlin’s 800-plus years
We recommend a visit at the Story of Berlin including the underground nuclear bomb shelter
The Story of Berlin highlights historical eras by themes, each section has plenty to keep kids and grownups busy, equipped with touch screens, plenty of information drawers, and multi tasking presentations….Things to see in this multi-level museum include several living rooms that give a glimpse into life on each side of the Berlin Wall, and the still-functioning underground nuclear bomb shelter built by the city in the 1970’s. A must to see! Exhibition texts are in German and English, the guided bomb shelter tour starts every hour on the hour. The museum is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m., however last admittance is at 6 p.m..
The location is located right arount the corner of the Plaza Hotel Berlin. The exhibition fits perfectly at a day after checking out, for example.
